Welcome to the Canadian International School of Beijing (CISB).

    Founded during the fall of 2005, the Canadian International School of Beijing offers a world-class facility with an internationally recognized Canadian education curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Programme with a maximum capacity of 1400 students. CISB currently has students from diplomatic and expatriate communities in Beijing representing over 60 countries, ranging from Montessori  Nursery (18 months to 3 years), Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten to Grade 12.

    As one of the leading educational institutions in Beijing, our main focus is to serve and provide children with the highest education standard possible, in an environment suited to healthy and well-rounded growth. Students at CISB benefit from and broaden their knowledge by learning cutting-edge technology, high-quality music, language arts, mathematics, and science programs. As a three program IB authorized world school, our preschool to grade 10 students are taught Canadian course content through the IB Primary Years and IB Middle Years Programs. High school students can choose to study the IB Diploma Program or Canadian courses starting in grade 11.

    We are the first school in Beijing incorporating Smartboard teachnology extensively in teaching and learning activities. the technology gives the students and teachers an interactive learning tool and the capability to interact with the Internet immediately, facilitating and enhancing the learning process and knowledge base.

    Our teachers are all well qualified to teach at their respective levels meeting Canadian certification standards or the equivalent. The staff is a wonderful blend of the experienced and the young. The majority of our staff is recruited from Canada with a blend of teachers from Asia so that the best of both cultures is represented in our school. Our teachers have a varied background in teaching with many teachers having taught in a number of different countries throughout the world.
